Cypripedium kentuckiense x macroanthos ( Henry Oakeley 2013)
C. macroanthos distribution: European & Asiatic Russia to eastern Siberia and Kamchatka, Sakalin Island, Korea, north-eastern China and Japan, in meadows, scrub and forest in damp places and light shade, often on slopes and banks, sea level to 2400m. C. kentuckiense - distribution U.S.A. (Texas, Mississippi, Kentucky, Ohio, Missouri, Arkansas, Louisiana and Tennessee), in mesophytic woodland, mainly in deep ravines, on acid sandstone soils and on the banks of rivers and streams.
